What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring life’s big questions. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe and everyone is welcome. Over one million Australians have tried Alpha. It runs online, in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it! No two Alphas look the same, but they generally have three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation.

We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore faith, ask questions and share their point of view. For more info on Alpha visit alpha.org.au

What happens at Alpha?

There are 3 main components to Alpha at Everyone Church:

Food & Hang Out - We eat! Enjoy a coffee, snack or lunch! Get to know others as well!

Watch - We play a short video from the Alpha Film Series focusing on various topics exploring faith and life’s big questions. The aim of these videos is to spark discussion.

Discuss - One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas in small groups. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t share. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
